Welcome to Our School
Bridge View provides educational opportunities for children and young adults, ages 5-21, who display a variety of developmental disabilities. Classrooms
serve 7-8 students. Student needs are supported through use of
specialized adapted equipment and assistive technology focusing on communication needs and choice making. Community based/partnerships provide other environments for our students to practice and achieve. Bridge View's Transition program includes an early start on identifying strengths and interests in the areas of Home Living, Community Participation, Post Secondary Education, Recreation/Leisure, Jobs and Job training. Transition is a process whereby students with the assistance of families, school and community agencies participate in building skills and developing plans for adult life. The student, family, school and community agencies work together to plan for a successful transition.Bridge View is also equipped with a Home Economics, Music Therapy and Parent meeting rooms. Bridge View is a one story, barrier free school with a therapeutic pool, air conditioning/climate controlled environment, gymnasium, an outside playground and play field. Student work and achievements are proudly displayed throughout our main hallway and lobby.

Pennies for Peace Very Successful Pennies For Peace Campaign Continues!
The
partnership between the Saint Paul Public Schools Special Education
Department and Pennies for Peace has completed the first two months of
the fundraising campaign. The partnership between special education
students and Pennies for Peace has a goal of raising enough money to
build a Special Education School in Pakistan.
Our partnership
will conclude in April 2010. Thank you all for your continuing support
of this vital program as Bridge View Students help replace the bombs of
war with the books of education and hope.
A "Penny Dumping Machine" has been built to receive the pennies. The ridiculously silly machine comes complete with bells, whistle, horns, lights and coughs. Students stop by the homemade "Penny Dumping Machine" and dump their pennies into the machine.
