Transition classrooms consist of students between the ages of 18-21
years old with 7-8 students in each classroom. Classroom staff consists
of a licensed Special Education Teacher and 2-3 highly qualified
paraprofessionals to assist teacher in meeting the needs of students.
Transition curriculum continues to provide for students to practice
skills they obtained in earlier years. However the focus continues to
provide for the increase needs for transition and services for
students. The curriculum increases community opportunities and begins
to explore post school placement options. Parents are encouraged to
begin exploring options with their young adults at this stage of their
education.
