Site Council
Bridge View is a Site Based Shared Decision Making (SBSDM) school.The Site-Council is the leadership group formed at the school level that is comprised of the principal, staff, parents and community members who are selected every two - three years who volunteer to work together to help their school be successful and improve student achievement.
Site councils may:
* define school goals
* shape school policy and procedures
* solve problems
* help shape and support the school's mission
* help develop the School Continuous Improvement Plan (SCIP)
* drive school change and develop conditions for success
* have input into the selection of school staff and principal
* help plan and prioritize the school budget

For the 09/10 school year we welcome Gloria Alvarado (parent) who will serve as the Site Council Chairperson, and Adam Wolkoff (parent) who will serve as the co-chair.  The next scheduled meeting is December 1st, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. ending by 7:30 p.m.  All meetings are held at Bridge View School, and all families, and community members, interested in supporting the mission of Bridge View School are welcome!
