Welcome students and families to our classroom web page!
Please note that our classroom location has changed since last year. We are now located in E-3. (Down the elementary hallway, third room on the left.)
The students in E-3 will be focusing on learning numbers, letters, basic academics and independent living skills. We will be using school tools such as crayons,
scissors, glue, and markers. As part of the learning process we sing
many songs. We sing the "Days of the Week", the "Months of the Year",
and "What is the Weather Like Today?" In addition, we employ
communication devices and American Sign Language to enhance learning.
Each student will be bring home a daily Notes Home that they filled out with the activities accomplished that day. There is a Point of Pride (something they did well that day) and perhaps a note from me. So, please take time to look for that note and even review it with your child.
Here is a little bit of information about myself: I received my BA at the University of MN-Duluth in 2000 and my Masters of Education at the University of MN- Twin Cities in 2008. So, I am maroon and gold through and through. Outside of school I enjoy reading, hiking (especially in the fall), watching hockey, and visiting with family and friends.
I began student teaching at Bridge View School in September of 2007. I enjoyed my student teaching experience so much that I took a teaching position in February 2008. Prior to working at BVS, I worked as a case manager for seven years at a day program for adults with developmental disabilities.
Please feel free to contact me with questions at: *phone (651)293-8640 before or after school is best because we do not always stop during academic time to answer the phone. *email: kathy.clennon@spps.org
Thank you.
