Students will have the opportunity to be exposed to activities which
incorporate the sensory components of tactile, taste and smell.
Students experience in cooking choice making, turn taking, following
directions, the use of switches,communication symbols and devices. Home
Ec is one of several areas within the school where students practice
and generalize goals and objectives they are working on in the
classroom. Home Ec also reinforces and supports concepts and standards
for which the students strive. Students use adapted equipment such as
bowls, spoons etc. Students also eat what they make. If they are unable
to eat what is made, they share with friends and families.
